Painting for Beginners
Description
This intermediate painting course is suitable for anyone with some experience of painting and wishes to progress their work. You will be encouraged to explore techniques in depth including colour mixing and to consider larger scale compositions. There will be the opportunity to experiment with using mixed media techniques.

What's included in the price?
You will be taught by practical activities and exercises, including working from observation of still-life objects, drawing for painting, creating colour mixes and exploring tonal description through drawing and painting with a limited palette. We will look at the work of artists for inspiration, and you will be guided by 1:1 tuition and group demonstration and discussion.
Techniques covered are: tonal description, mixing and using colour, composition. You will work in a variety of materials including pencil and charcoal, and both acrylic and oil paint. Constructive and supportive feedback from your tutor will help you succeed during the class.
