Skill level: Intended for intermediate watercolour painters, or those who have attended any of my line and wash workshops. This watercolour painting workshop will focus on mixing convincing autumnal colours from a limited palette, creating pleasing tree forms and producing light and foliage effects in watercolour to improve your confidence in the rewarding process of painting autumn. Applying paint washes in the ‘pure watercolour’ tradition, through practical demonstrations and paint-along exercises I will provide you with colour mixing and paint handling skills to enable you to improve your own autumn watercolour artworks. This workshop is limited to five participants.

All equipment is provided, you may wish to bring an apron. A 10% discount at Herbie’s Café at Salle Moor Hall Farm will be available to workshop attendees on the day.

I’m Kester Hew Crawford, a landscape painter living in rural Norfolk. I have over ten years art and design tuition experience gained tutoring university design students as well as amateur and semi-professional art students. My summer workshop series in various location around Mid and North Norfolk have been enjoyed by many beginner, intermediate and professional level artists and have focused on oil and watercolour painting and hand drawing. I am also an exhibiting landscape artist, currently represented by The Point Contemporary gallery in Cromer, Norfolk and The Thornhill Art Gallery in Portsmouth, USA.
