Our world is replete with colour, light, texture and form. From apples on a table to sunlight on a mountain, the artist unravels all of these elements and convincingly daubs them onto paper or canvas. But just how is it done? For many of us, though colour is a part of our daily lives, it nevertheless remains a mystery and the work that the artist does seem a little short of magic.
This practical two and half day course will provide you with all you need to experience the visual world with greater understanding and work some of that magic yourself! Topics covered: colour perception, colour-mixing (subtractive and additive); hue, shade, tint and chroma.
Suitable for all abilities. All-comers welcome.
Accommodation can be booked, subject to availability.
