About the Course
This course is ideal if you would like to try out upholstery and learn some basic skills in a small group. It runs each weekday (Monday to Friday) from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
You will learn from the experts about traditional and modern upholstery techniques, such as webbing, springs, stuffing & stitching.
You can either bring along your own small project, such as a stool or dining chair with a drop in seat, or work on a footstool frame that is available to buy at the Upholstery Skills Centre.
If you wish to take your creation home, you can either bring along or purchase the upholstery materials you use at the Skills Centre. You will have the opportunity to buy your footstool creation and tools at the end of the day, if you wish!
This course is suitable for all levels of proficiency and experience. Each student works at their own pace.
At the Skills Centre, you will learn how to upholster with professional upholsterers.
