From the ease at which the location with good parking can be found, to the feeling of being in a calm and creative setting this 1 day course leaves you with a feeling that you achieved more than you thought possible - A great day!

This course exceeded all expectations from the welcome, through calm expert instructions and a gentle guiding hand to avoid disasters. A throughly professional course but one where learning, achievement and social interactions were all valued. Lunch was excellent as were the frequent breaks to avoid total fatigue!
Very good value on all levels.
Well done to a young but successful enterprise which I hope will continue to prosper.

Thank you Jack for an enjoyable and memorable day on Sunday. Our family of 4 booked a One-Day throwing course with Jack in his spacious, light and airy studio. We were well-instructed with demonstrations and patient guidance, and were so proud of our finished pieces. It was a great introduction to throwing on the wheel and immensely satisfying to create a form that looked like a pot! Our appetite has been whetted to do more! Many thanks for a wonderful day Jack; we are so glad to have found your course on this website.

My sister and I did the two-day weekend course and absolutely loved it. Jack is a great teacher and is patient and encouraging, and helped guide us to produce an array of ceramics that I was so impressed with! Cant wait to see the finished pieces, and I have since booked on to the 10 week course. A great way to spend a weekend and in such a beautiful studio, I highly reccomend Jack as a teacher.

Such a fantastic day. Jack is a super teacher and gives encouraging support, when needed, whilst also allowing each person to work with a degree of independence. Several pieces can be completed and the locally produced healthy lunch was delicious.
I would thoroughly recommend this excellent venue and will definitely be signing up for more in the future!

I completed the one day throwing course, and it was excellent from start to finish. Jack was a great host and teacher. As some others have commented, Jack gives good clear instruction, and lets you work at a pace that suits you. Because the class is restricted to 4 people, Jack can keep a keen eye on everyone's progress and step in when needed. Great lunch too. If you're considering having a go at pottery, stop deliberating and sign-up... you won't be disappointed!

Such an amazing weekend on the two day throwing course! The tuition was excellent and I feel like my techniques improved quickly because of Jacks teaching. Such a beautiful and inspiring setting and I am so thrilled with my pots. I have come away feeling relaxed, refreshed and eager to return. Thank you!

Loved it! Jack is a great teacher and he strikes that perfect balance of guiding you when needed whilst you work at your own pace. It is possible to make several pieces over the course of the day so plenty of opportunity for that masterpiece! Lunch was very tasty with locally sourced products & any dietary requirements are catered for. All together a great introduction to throwing in a warm and relaxing environment, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

My wife and I did a 6 hour course and loved it! We were both beginners, but found an inner passion for pottery by the end of the day and will definitely be booking another course in the near future.
Jack and Vanessa are superb hosts, Their studio is beautiful - a tranquil escape from the hustle of London - and the lunch was fantastic! A great way to spend a Saturday.
