Wow, what a day! I have just spent a day with Deanna learning about the various types and characteristics of leather and leather working. Deanna was superb and her depth of knowledge was astounding. I had many questions to ask; not only were they all answered but many more were resolved. Deanna had also carried out lots of prep. work which has provided lots of additional contacts which I hadn't expected. If you are looking for a comfortable environment to learn from a true professional then Deanna is the person to go to. A great day. Thank You.

Deanna has a wealth of experience and knowledge which she was keen to pass on, including explaining about different types of leather and their uses (and some other general sewing tips with things I had been struggling with for years!)
Not only did I learn loads but by the end of the afternoon I had made a fabulous dog collar.
She is a lovely lady and made me feel very welcome and all in all I would highly recommend her workshop shop for anyone who is interested in working with leather.

-

A very enjoyable day spent with Deanna. Great communication before we arrived ensured that any additional materials were ready to go immediately, plus she was very flexible and resourceful, able to respond to our ever-changing design as it came to life.

-

My friend and I spent a lovely day with Deanna, learning so much about the different leathers and technics of making leather items.
The course was tailored well to suit our introduction to this craft and I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn a new skill.
Lemon drizzle cake was a real bonus!! Thanks Deanna and John for making the afternoon cuppa

An absolutely fantastic day! I came to Deanna to learn more about hand bags.. I own a Saddlery so I have a little experience when it comes to leather, designing and repairing but I'd like to take the leather side of the business further myself.

Deanna couldn't have been more accommodating, the length Deanna went to in preparation for my visit was outstanding! I learned oodles and have booked myself in for another day in 2 weeks time and probably will be booking in every 2 weeks thereafter!

Lovely lady, lovely set up and very friendly... Oh... And great cake!

Highly recommended!!!

Thank you Deanna for a very worthwhile day last Tuesday, I learnt a tremendous
amount re Leather Sewing which is exactly what I wanted to achieve, your teaching methods are very good, and the cake was a bonus!!

-

A friend and I went on Deanna's leather working course to learn how to make straps for bags. It was very useful to learn about the different types of leather, how to use rivets, and other techniques. Deanna was very good at showing us how to use our machines to makes professional looking straps/handles. I also came away with other ideas for sewing with leather! Thank you.

-

The course was very well organised. The theory part was very interesting especially for someone with no previous experience in leather work.
Deanna was very friendly and kind and her cake was brilliant!
We had such an amazing day and I cannot wait to start doing some new projects!

-

The course is excellent, Deanna gave a really good introduction to how leather is produced / theory and useful terms before showing us how to make lovely products. She was incredibly patient and very good at explaining at a complicated level to my wife (very able) but also at a more basic level to me.

It was a really enjoyable day and we love the products that we made and took away with us

-

My friend and I contacted Deanna, who kindly custom built a course on making leather straps for bags. We learnt so much and had a fun day as well as seriously learning so many aspects of leather and how to use it. We took our sewing machines and Deanna was so helpful and very experienced and knowledgeable. I can recommend this as a fantastic learning experience. We came away with a strap we had made ourselves, machine sewn, buckle applied, with a rivet and all the finishing processes applied. Felt very proud and inspired to have a go!

-

I had a delightful day on Deanna's course. I found her to be a skilled trainer and I learned some invaluable
things about beginning leathercraft.
The training environment was perfectly suited for my needs: well lit and well equipped for the tasks in hand.
I left proudly clutching the small purse Deanna guided me in completing and when I showed my discerning daughtet later that evening she commisioed me to do her one on mint green!
I will de5finately keep in touch with my new leathercraft mentor.

-

I have recently taken Deanna's one day course. I found her and her husband to be excellent hosts, with coffee on tap!! Deanna was a good teacher, taking the time to answer my questions in simplistic terms with alternative solutions being offered. I was able to achieve my personal learning objectives in an open and relaxed environment. Deanna has a wealth of knowledge and experience which can be exploited by both the beginner and the more experienced student. This was a value for money day, with good teaching in an excellent environment. To use the terms of the one and only "Arnie"....I'll be back!!!!

-

I had such a brilliant day on the course. Deanna was attentive, caring and most of all really patient while I was learning. She is a fountain of knowledge. And there was cake too! Couldn't have asked for a better teacher and day. Can't wait to get started with leather work. Thank you Deanna.

-

Such an amazing day. Deanna was warm kind and attentive. Not only that, everything I had spoken to her about over the phone she had looked into for me to learn - and I had a few unusual requests. Deanna knowledgeable, experienced and a brilliant teacher. Not to mention the homemade lemon cake - delicious. Well worth the trip and the cost. Thank you so much for the brilliant day, it was everything I needed and more. Love, Suneet x

-

This is an excellent course. I was a complete beginner and Deanna was both patient and informative. There was lots to learn and the day was packed with tips and ideas.

-

I can't recommend this course highly enough. Deanna was so friendly and nice she made me feel immediately at ease and the rest of the day followed perfectly. She gave an excellent overview of the 'theory' side and then spoke to me about what I wanted to learn and used that to structure the teaching. I learnt lots of great new skills and tips without feeling overwhelmed. I will definitely work on what I have learnt and go back for another day with Deanna to improve on new skills when I'm ready.

-

Excellent! A well paced informative day full of tips and tricks of the trade. Deanna is patient and thorough. She covers all requirements needed to complete a leather item. Her own work is inspirational. A very enjoyable day.
