About the Course
A ten week course to introduce oil painting to beginners, and those who are interested but don't know where to start with oils.
During the next ten weeks paint a different picture every week, explore the techniques, expression and above all have fun painting.
Suitable for the beginner or a more experienced artist wishing to try something new. Mark will demonstrate step by step the art of painting pictures, composition, brushwork and the finished art work and will always be on hand to give advice to your work.

You can turn any of our courses into a short break by staying in our on site accommodation. When you book a residential package you will get discounted accommodation in our stylish boutique hostel located in the centre of Cirencester in the Cotswolds right next door to New Brewery Arts. Our former 19th Century Cotswold stone brewery barrel store has been beautifully transformed into 21st century accommodation, light and well-appointed with a craftsman’s attention to detail. We offer guest accommodation for up to 43 people over two floors in 14 rooms, with a choice of single, bunk, family and double bedrooms, 12 with en-suite facilities. A ground floor disabled-friendly room is also available. The hostel provides a stylish communal dining and relaxation area, self-catering kitchen, laundry facilities and lockers for your bike. As with all our courses and workshops these are led by experienced tutors and as you will be part of a small group there is plenty of time to focus on you.
