About the Course
You will learn how to wet felt using a Japanese technique called Nuno Felting where you will learn how to amalgamate silks, chiffons and Merino wool (no sewing). Using these techniques you will create a wrap/scarf which is beautifully light and delicate yet extremely strong, suitable for both winter and summer use.
Debra has a fabulous studio which will inspire your choice of colours. Debra has taught over 2000 people during her ten years of felt making but she also draws on her lifelong experience of lecturing (previously in Psychology). Classes are relaxing (background meditation music creates a calm and therapeutic atmosphere where you will feel fully immersed in your creativity and fully relaxed) but you will also feel invigorated, inspired and full of joy as Debra's classes are also great fun.
Good for beginners and expert felters.

Just completed the scarf making course with Debra. I had a really great time and made some new friends as well! Debra is a fine teacher and instils confidence in the most nervous pupil! The whole day went far too quickly.

Another fabulous day with Debra, learning the art of Nano felting. I learnt to make a sampler piece, which is gorgeous, and I love my scarf.
I had a wonderfully relaxing day and learnt so much. Debra is an excellent teacher, very calming.
If you get the chance to take a workshop with Debra, you will have a wonderful day and take home a beautiful piece of art, that you can wear.
