Needle Felting Dogs - Workshop with Jo Munroe

Scruffy dog

A fun and relaxing (well, apart from lots of stabby-stabby motions!) workshop for those new or beyond to the art of needle felting - or wool sculpturing if you prefer.

Jo has been running extremely popular needle felting workshops for five years and is skilled at creating a friendly environment in which to switch off from everyday trials and tribulations and make something to be proud off (usually, anyway!).

All Saturday afternoon workshops are themed and take place once or twice a month.
Thursday morning workshops are a 'pick-and-choose-from-kits-provided' kind of a thing and run monthly.

Full guidance is given to create a creature or object using special needles which have barbs on - stab the needle into unspun wool and the barbs catch hold of the fibres, knotting them together until the wool becomes more solid. Use the needle to sculpt and shape as you go and within the workshop, you should more or less complete your piece. All materials for the object provided. Starter kits are £5 extra and include a workbase and special needle for you to keep.

Due to the sharpness of the needles, these workshops are not suitable for children.

Safe Workshopping; if you want to come in your own social bubble, please let me know and we can find an alternative date to suit (minimum of three people). Otherwise, bring a mask if you prefer and there will be a maximum of four people per table. Please contact Jo if you have any other questions about this.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

Written and verbal instructions and demonstrations.
Step by step guidance.
A kit with all materials required for your object (NB: if you don't have your own workbase and special needles, you will be provided with these items for an extra £5).
A different theme per workshop eg cats and dogs, festive decorations etc
Or, at the Thursday group, choose from a selection of kits provided.
Free tea or coffee
A new skill you will probably get very addicted to!
