About the Course
One day needle felting workshop in Harwich - suitable for beginners, absolutely no experience necessary.
Join Rosie and learn how to sculpt your favourite pooch or any other animal from Marino wool
Using the needle felting method you will be able to produce a beautiful, soft animal figure, under the patient guidance of Rosie. She will teach you how to make a flexible frame and then gradually build up layers of wool to sculpt your figure before attaching the arms and legs.
During many years in textiles and visiting numerous exhibitions, events and craft shows, I have never come across a felt artist as talented Rosie and we are lucky enough to have her right on our doorstep, another example of the talent in the small town of Harwich.
Old Bank Studios offers a wide range of art, craft and textile courses and work-shops. Based in a glorious Edwardian banking hall, our fully equipped studios provide ideal spaces where students can work in a relaxed, ambient atmosphere. Located in the heart of Old Harwich, we are just a few yards from the Electric Palace Cinema.
Harwich Town Railway Station is less than a five minute walk away, with hourly trains to Manningtree, where there are mainline connections to Colchester, Chelmsford, London, Ipswich and Norwich. If you are coming by car, there is normally plenty of on road parking, otherwise there is a public car park a one minute walk away. It is always possible to drop off right at our front doors.
