Żenia will teach you the art of needle felting working through her lovely Barn Owl. She will walk you through sculpting the basic shape, adding and blending colours, working on proportions and symmetry and applying fine details such as endearing facial expressions!
You will work with a selection of carded wool and fine merino with needle felting needles (with caution!).
All tools and materials will be provided including tea, coffee and biscuits. Please bring a packed lunch.
This course is suitable for anyone from beginners to those wanting to explore more needle felting. Previous 3D needle felting experience is recommended but not essential. Żenia has two other courses that would provide this in August 2021; Sunflower Pincushion and Simple Toadstool.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

I hadn't done any painting since my school days (a long time ago!) and was pretty terrified but Janet walked everything through with such patience and encouragement I was able to get over my insecurities and paint a picture I was proud of! Everyone in the class I was in, had different insecurities but by the end everyone had painted a beautiful picture and felt confident that they could continue to grow! Her experience in painting flowers 'in the flesh' is well demonstrated and she knows how to bring out the delightful characters of every species; even the most tricky of characters! Her techniques for composition are genius!
Jill is a wonderful teacher with years of experience of glass art and teaching under her belt. Having never done anything like this before I was able to produce beautiful pieces in just a few short hours! The space at Cambridge Makers is also really lovely and welcoming and has excellent facilities.
