About the Course

Half day workshop in creating needle felted animals and are available and ideal for beginners to more advanced felters. Full day courses are also available, please get in touch.

You will learn to needle felt a small animal or a lovely picture using woolly fibres and a barbed felting needle.
With small stabbing actions you will knit the fibres into a form that will grow very quickly into an animal of your choice.
You will sculpt and form it alongside a very experienced feltmaker to create a unique item that you will be proud to take home - I promise :-).

I have many examples that you can use for inspiration of images and animals; or landscape pictures if you would prefer to create a picture instead of a 3D structure. But do bring your own images along if you prefer.

If you do not see a date to suit you or have an enquiry regarding a group booking then please get in touch via the contact form or my feltworld website.

We will cover all needle felting basics and safety.

Look forward to meeting you

Had a splendid day and created what i consider to be a very good hare. Very relaxed and supportive atmosphere with all you need provided and as much or as little guidance as you need. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Barbara as a teacher.

Hi Susan, Your hare is absolutely fabulous and well done in picking up the techniques so quickly. I look forward to taking you to the next level :-0 .

I attended a half-day dry needle-felting course, my third class with Barbara. I have previously made a wet felt picture, and a handbag. Today I made a robin and a penguin. I have been very pleased with everything I have made, and they have been much admired by friends and family.
It was a lovely afternoon out with a difference. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, combined with excellent teaching. Thank you, Barbara.

First real attempt at dry felting. I really enjoyed the day and impressed myself and my family, of producing a felt rabbit which was pleasingly convincing! It also got the ah! factor from work colleagues and has already got me wanting to make more. Most enjoyable!

I attended Barbara's Wet Felt Picture Taster Session and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Barbara's lovely studio provided the perfect creative environment to learn the skill of wet felting and her friendly teaching style made even a novice like me, feel confident that I could create something beautiful.

I'm now hooked and can't wait to try another of Barbara's workshops.
