Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Thanks Maggie,
A really enjoyable day last Sunday, 25th November. Great venue and a friendly group of fellow stabbers. I have made a few 3d felt animals already, but wanted to do a picture this time. Lots of help and advice available and I came away with a picture of a robin that I was well on the way to finishing and feeling quite pleased with my efforts. Plenty of coffee and biscuits and made to feel welcome by all in spite of it being my first time there and not knowing anyone else. Thankyou all for a lovely day.
Margaret McInall - - #18468
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Thank you Margaret, I am glad you were able to feel so relaxed and welcomed within the group. We work hard to ensure a happy smile when entering - even with the road works and rugby match on! I look forward to seeing your finished Robin - your artistic eye certainly captured the subtle colour changes and the fibre you had was beautiful. We hope to see you again soon x
Due to health issues I was looking for a new craft that could be done with minimal space and on my lap.
Venue for the day just 5 minutes from my home, very clean, all facilities available.
Rachel, and Rhian, were very welcoming and helpful, providing plenty of refreshments as well as expert instructions and advice. My fellow crafters were all enthusiastic and friendly, some experienced and several a novice like myself.
We had the option to produce a 3D animal or a picture, I chose the picture. Rachel provided a multitude of colours and types of wool to work with, the process was quite simple and I soon had a floral 'masterpiece' unfolding!
I managed to complete the felting element of my picture with the added bonus of being shown how to make and add petals to transform it to a 3D picture. I am very pleased with my work and will add some beading to it then frame in a shadow box.
I purchased some wool and needles from Rachel to continue this craft at home, and Santa may be bringing me more supplies. I plan to book onto the another course to have a go at 3D animals, and later wet felting.
I would highly recommend this course as you can produce a work of art in a short space of time, it is suitable for someone with arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome ( I was surprised that it did not aggravate my hands too much, take a break regularly).
I also think this was a reasonable price for the day course.
Thank you Rachel for your time and patience and expertise.
Teresa Davies - - #18465
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Thank you so much, it is lovely that you have found us just around the corner so to speak! it is highly addictive and next time you come I will bring some of the plastic that I was talking about. Dont forget Santa can fill a sack with us if needed. We will be back on the 8th even if you do not want to do the workshop but pop in to do a request list we will be happy to see you! I have some of the needle holders in stock as well now. I would love to see your finished picture once you have the beads sewn on as well. Your flowers were wonderful and you were very open to try new things which was fantastic - we hope to see you with us again soon x
Loved the class and learned so much. We got to know the names of the different wool and needle sizes. Some of us made pictures while others made hares. Help and advice was on hand whenever we needed it . I started off with a section of core wool which I transferred into a lovely hare (much to my surprise). There were people new to felting like myself and people who have been before and wanted to do more. Tea, coffee and biscuits were made available and all we needed was a packed lunch. I would highly recommend the courses as Rachael is an amazing teacher.
Kay Thurstan - - #18459
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:thank you so much Kay, I am glad you enjoyed it so much. It is always nice to see different projects coming to life in the same room. There is such a lovely magical transformation as the wool takes shape and suddenly there is a creature there in front of you! We look forward to seeing you on the 8th December.
A superb day from start to finish. I wasn't sure what to expect and, attending by myself, was a little nervous but what a fantastic day! I met a lovely group of ladies and we shared our learning, our biscuits and some gossip too! I created a gorgeous needle felted hare, yes me, I made it! Rach is a great teacher, patient and kind, explaining everything in a clear way and often several times! I would highly recommend a course with Heartfelt 2 Inspire, I think I may be a bit hooked!
Louise Rozhon - - #18453
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Thank you so much Louise, I am blushing!! I know how hard it is to come in to somewhere new on your own and I am glad we were able to make you feel welcome. Yes you made a superb hare and your daughter seemed very happy with your lunchtime progress. I cannot apologise for hooking you but I hope that we will see you again in the new year and take you further along on your journey.
Another great day with lovely company. Thanks to Rachel and Rhian for their patience and really helpful advice. I'm learning new skills every time!
Julia Huntley - - #18452
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Thank you so much Julia, it is always such a pleasure to have you with us. Your dog was beautiful and so good that now I need to find time to put another dog workshop on! You have half the ladies at least very envious of your creation. I hope the recipient of your card appreciates your efforts as well. It was beautiful!
A great way to spend a day! This was my first attempt at needle felting and I was able to produce a nice 2d picture that I will be proud to hang on my wall. I was instantly made to feel welcome and the level of instruction was perfect.
JANE MITCHELL - - #18450
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Your picture was amazing and a great interpretation of your piece of at you had with you. I am so glad that after the chaos of all the traffic and road works that were going on that you were able to relax and enjoy yourself.
A totally fabulous day. Thank you so much for a lovely day. We learnt so much and it was great to spend time with family. We loved being able to just explore at our own pace and play with all the fibre. The mince pies were a lovely bonus!
Will be coming again soon

Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Thank you Emma, It was a fabulous workshop and always good to see what everyone is able to produce. Lovely to see everybody slowly relax and be willing to try lots of different things along the way. Also to be able to see what others are doing and learn from each other. We hope to see you soon x
Thank you so much for such an enjoyable course. After trying to teach myself (rather unsuccessfully, it has to be said!) needle felting from kits, it was a joy to discover that I could achieve a finished product without using polystyrene balls!
I was delighted with my finished dog and frankly amazed at what I achieved within the timeframe!
Rachel and Rhian were fab-excellent instructors and were warm and friendly and made everyone feel very welcome. I would thoroughly recommend attending one of these courses.
Alison Clement - - #16366
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Wow, thank you Alison. Your cat was easily recognisable as a cat. I am glad we were able to renew your confidence and inspire you to keep going with felting. We also now have made sure we have a supply of reading glasses available for the close up work to try and help there as well!
Really enjoyed my day with Rachel and Rhian learning to make a needle felt dog. I felt that the course was excellent value for money and that the tuition was superb. Can't wait to see what courses are available in September.
Cathy - - #16359
Response from Heartfelt 2 Inspire:Thank you Cathy for such kind words! We now have the new courses available for you to choose from as promised. We are so glad you had a good day and enjoyed the process and the final result. Hope to see you soon.
I had never done any felting at all before this workshop. I was delighted to have produced a landscape which my husband immediately recognised as Three Cliffs Bay. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. Many thanks to Rachel and Rhian for such a productive day.

Rachel is a kind and patient tutor, as I am a qualified question asker!
I will be pleased to recommend these workshops to anyone who want to try this interesting form of working with wool.
I will be returning.
Many Thanks to Rachel and her team.
