Needle felt pictures with Ruth Packham at Stiwdio 3

If you are worried about drawing maybe think of it as 'making patterns' or 'colouring in'!

Description

Your tutor Ruth Packham will felt some wool into a flat fabric for each participant prior to the class. It will measure roughly 30cm by 30cm. Using this as your canvas you will use British wool fibres to needle felt a picture or design. There will be plenty of colours to choose from and encouragement from Ruth to play and not to worry!

You can’t draw?! Don’t worry, Ruth will guide you through all stages of the process of choosing your image and then ‘drawing’ with wool. If you are still worried, maybe think of it as colouring rather than drawing!

On the other hand, if you are perfectly comfortable with your drawing skills then Ruth will show you how to transfer those skills to needle felting with wool.

You will create the detail on your picture by the process of needle felting. You will soon zone into this wonderfully relaxing and addictive process to create a piece of textile art to display with pride.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

You will have the luxury of spending 4 hours absorbed in creating your wool drawing. Ruth is a felting expert and an excellent tutor so she will be able to show you how to translate your image/idea into wool. Tuition, wool and 2 needles are included in your course fee.
