Join me, award-winning wildlife artist Alison Spaven, otherwise known as The Crafty Wytch, for a full day's needle felting in The Wytchwood Gallery and Studio, my tiny village gallery in Naburn, near York! It's so small, I only take two pupils at a time, so you are guaranteed enough time and attention to finish your project.
The needle felted hare course is for felters who have completed some basic projects, but who would like some guidance to progress to working on a wire armature.
You will look at how a hare is structured and its proportions, practice creating armatures with wires of different types and learn how the wire is wrapped with core wool. You will then create the muscles, head and ears, attach them to the frame and finally add the coat and whiskers.
The course is available to book on Saturdays only, when the Gallery is closed to the general public, all you have to do is contact me (see link above) giving me some dates you can attend, and I will get back to you and confirm the date. The course runs as and when it is booked, giving you more flexibility.
We get together at 10am and finish at 5pm, and you will need to bring a packed lunch.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
All materials and equipment are included, as are tea, coffee and biscuits.
