Make a beautiful, nature-inspired woven wall hanging on a frame loom with lovely local weaver Mary Maddocks. Mary uses a huge variety of natural UK-sourced yarns, wools and other unusual natural fabrics. There will be the opportunity to buy your own weaving kit following the workshop if you're hooked. We will start with a short nature walk or talk to get ideas and inspiration (weather dependent) and there will be plenty of homemade cake and tea/coffee to keep you going throughout.
Mary will also have signed copies of her new book "Weaving" available at the workshop.
COVID-19 info: My workshop space is a 60ft airy space that fits 30 people, and my workshops are limited to 8 people so there is lots of space to keep a safe distance. We can work outside if the weather is good. If not, masks should be worn and if you are feeling unwell, please do not attend. Bring layers as it can be chilly. Cancellations are accepted up to 1 week before the event.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
