Learn how to use a variety of woodland plants & trees to create items used in cosmetics. You will take home a number of different items based on the season you attend the course.
You will learn practical tips & techniques on:
• how to select, harvest, dry/prepare & store materials/seasonal availability & working with the seasons
• how to infuse oils
• use of essential oils, fragrance oils & flavour oils
• how to adapt & change recipes to suit individual needs (e.g.: vegans, nut intolerances, etc.)
• where to buy ingredients, shelf life & responsible sourcing of them
• how to make a range of seasonally appropriate beauty products which may include some of the following:
• glycerine soaps & shampoo soaps
• cold process soaps
• shampoo & bars
• balms & body/lip butters
• bath bombs & salts
• men’s grooming products
Please note we have in-depth one day soap making courses too.
Please note you will need to be able to stand for periods whilst making and have a good level of manual dexterity.
Refreshments & vegan cake provided. Please bring your own lunch.

Our workshops are open to individuals aged eighteen and upwards.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Any further details, along with anything you need to bring with you, will be sent out via email in advance of the scheduled date.
All workshops will begin promptly at the scheduled time, so please ensure that you arrive early enough to get yourself settled in and have a coffee and cake before the class is due to start.
All workshops will clearly be marked as being suitable for beginners, intermediate or advanced. When booking a workshop, you are responsible for assessing your own abilities. Hedgerow Hare cannot be held responsible if you book the wrong level of workshop or do not read the description of the workshop correctly. A refund will not be given for booking a workshop which you later feel is not at the right level for you.
Should we need to cancel a class due to circumstances beyond our control or limited numbers, a full refund will be given. Alternatively, you will be given the option to book onto another workshop.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 8 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
