Let your creativity go wild on this full day mosaics course.
You will choose from a wide selection of shapes cut from weatherproof boarding to use as your base. You will then be shown how to select, cut and shape mosaic tiles to create your own piece of art. There should be plenty of time to glue tiles onto both sides of your creation before you leave. You will then be given enough grout to complete your project as well as instructions on how to do this at home, as the glue needs to fully dry first. Finally, place your mosaic onto the stick provided and find the perfect spot in your garden to display it.
Don't worry if you don't have any ideas of what to do. Your tutor, Tiffany Gregory, is a master at helping her students discover their inner creativity. Furthermore, the course will start with a stroll through the woods to gain inspiration for the day.
Tutor Profile - Tiffany Gregory
Tiffany can’t remember a time when she wasn’t making ‘stuff’. From an early age she could be found sewing away on her black and gold antique singer. This need to create has continued throughout her life from mosaic to printing, sewing to photography and everything in-between. She did a Foundation in Art and Design as a mature student and then completed a degree in Fine Art. Her love of colour can be seen in everything she does and her aim in life is to be creative each day, even if it’s only for 5 minutes.
