Mindfulness clay workshop - relax and recharge with clay, 'I have clay'

Mindful making - pinch pot
X

Description

A 2 hour workshop of mindful making with clay, lead by Sarah, an experienced ceramic artist and meditation teacher. Connect with your creative flow, working with the material in a gentle and accessible way to discover your own creative potential. Guided meditations and easy to follow steps make this workshop ideal both for beginners in clay or more experienced makers.

The joy of clay is that it encourages an uncomplicated and reflective approach to making, allowing you to learn new skills, and enjoy a relaxing and satisfying activity in welcoming group.

The group is an important part of this process and numbers are limited. This allows for a greater connection between group members and the opportunity for you to absorb yourself in your intuition. This session also works well as a one to one session.

About the session
Each session is 2 hours and is introduced with a guided relaxation exercise followed by clay activity. The final outcome might be a finished clay item but may also represent a creative idea to take forward outside session time. The beauty of this approach is that result of your creativity is at home with you ready to enjoy.

Session themes could include:
* cultivating the beginners mind (intro to clay, form and scale)
* supporting form (working with soft clay slabs)
* mindful listening (pinching clay)
* mindful looking (coiling, grasping and joining clay)
* balancing our effort (meaningful objects in clay)

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
