Whether you want to paint or draw portraits, an understanding of the drawing process is essential. This workshop will give you practical tips for capturing a likeness and conveying a strong sense of form.
Portrait drawing also develops a deeper connection with yourself and those around you and helps you to enter a ‘flow state’ where time seems to slow down and your perceptions are heightened. The combination of drawing and mindfulness through portraiture makes this a unique workshop
About the tutor Mike Bagshaw:
“I grew up in Salford where I was taught by Harold Riley, a friend of L.S. Lowry. I then spent some time as an art student but didn't feel I fitted the art world at that time. So I did a BA degree and later a Phd in psychology. I have spent over 30 years as a Psychologist. During that time I have drawn and painted. I am now about to retire to pursue my longstanding passion for art.”
