About the Course
Create your own felt trilby or fedora style hat on this two day millinery course with Kerry Kernan Millinery.
Alternatively, if you have a large style sinamay hat in mind, this weekend can also be used for that.
You could decorate your new hat with a variety of trimmings after the workshop or why not book onto one of my other millinery workshops to create your own special embellishment?
This hat making workshop will show you how to block the hat, stiffen the fabric, how to wire the edge and how to trim the edge with Petersham ribbon.
This weekend is perfect for those hats that take a little longer to create! A variety of styles can be created in this workshop - please see images for ideas.
If you are interested in this course but cannot make weekends, please get in touch and I can happily arrange suitable dates for you. If you would like to book this workshop for a private party i.e. Hen Party or other celebration, please get in touch and we can discuss dates.
This workshop is suitable for anyone prepared to use some hand stitching and a desire to have fun!

I thought the trilby workshop would be a big challenge but with Kerry's fantastic guidance I was very pleased with my beautiful creation.
Many thanks again.

I would rate this higher than excellent if I could. From start to finish, I have had the most incredible experience and loved every second of the workshop! Kerry, you made it fun, gave me all your experience and made it so easy to learn!
If only every weekend could be like this!
I will be saving the pennies for a return visit. Thank you so so much!xxx

What a brilliant way to spend a weekend! I wanted to learn about classic millinery techniques - blocking, wiring a brim etc - and Kerry was an excellent and patient tutor. To work, surrounded by her millinery masterpieces in a such a peaceful and relaxing environment, really tickled my creative tastebuds. I'm very grateful for Kerry's generous sharing of her knowledge and skills - and we had cake too :-)
