Description

This course is designed for beginners and for students who have completed other level 1 millinery courses. It will introduce students to the foundations of millinery skills and the techniques used in making hats with sinamay. Sinamay is a flat woven material produced in the Phillipines which is commonly used in occasion millinery. Working in the well-equipped millinery studio, students will be introduced to specialist equipment used in millinery adhering to safe working practices both within the studio and home. You will learn about the properties of sinamay, how it is made, where it can be sourced, and how it can be transformed from raw material to finished hat.

What's included in the price?

Mode of delivery will be in centre with social distancing. Typical activities will take place in the format of direct teaching with tutor demonstrations, peer discussions, practical skill development and use of examples. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above.
