About the Course
Two day taster metal workshop for Beginners to get the feel for Metal Sculpture and explore some welding, cutting techniques and appropriate health & safety procedures. Existing Metal Sculpture students can use this class to develop their on going projects from the term. It is essential to wear old clothes and strong footwear. These courses are technician supported. Basic materials included.
By the end of the course you will be able to
Shape steel in three ways.
Mig weld steel.
Cut steel in three different ways.
Understand how steel can be used to create a 3D piece of art.
Class format and activities
Learning techniques for cutting, shaping and joining metal to metal or fabric by group demonstrations, 1:1
tutorials and practice.
In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
There are no entry requirements.
