About the Course
Join RSN trained tutors Angela Bishop and Sarah Homfray and retreat back to medieval times at the 12th Century Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire to learn, explore and practice the skills used for the medieval embroidery technique ‘Opus Anglicanum’ ( English Work).
Over the two days we will be looking at two of the main techniques used, split stitch shading and the goldwork underside couching technique. Using these methods, we will reproduce a face from the past like those that adorned many of the beautiful Opus Anglicanum pieces.’
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
