About the Course
If you always wanted to try your hand at making luxury chocolates, then join us and we will show you how to master the techniques of working with chocolate. If you are a keen home cook who would like to make your own professional looking chocolates at home, then this course is for you.
Your course will be run by John and Jill with a maximum of 4 delegates, which means you will have plenty of delegate to tutor time to ask questions and practise techniques and skills. The session is flexible enough work work for new as well as experienced people, so do not worry if you have never made or even melted chocolate before. We will guide you through the process.
We have not given set dates for these courses as we can run them as and when required. We can do midweek, weekends, so we are very flexible on availability. Many of our customers book a 'crafty day-off work' with the added benefit of feeling they are enjoying it more because they are not at work or eating into their weekend time.
You will take away all of the items that you make during the day. The course will cover demonstrations, activities where you work in pairs following a recipe. Jill and John will be on hand for support, advice and guidance.
Jill and John are your tutors. They both hold industry recognised professional training qualifications. This means not only do they know their subject, but more importantly how to share it with others in a form that is easy to pick up and in a fun and enjoyable way.
We are a 5 star catering venue.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Response from The Artisan Chocolate Company:Hi Nicki
I had a lovely day at the Artisan Chocolate company for our team day. Jill and John made the day so fun and informative- I didn’t expect to learn so much! The lunch Jill made was amazing, and all of the different chocolates we made were delicious and there were plenty to take home and share with my family. I would fully recommend this course to anyone, we all had a great time.

Response from The Artisan Chocolate Company:Thank you Louise, we are so pleased you enjoyed the session and found it informative. You certainly all made loads of chocolates to take home, consume and share. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, that means a lot to us. Kind regards John and Jill.
A fabulous day for myself and my 8 year old son, this was the first time that John and Jill had run this course with a child as part of the class, it was just the 2 of us and they really engaged my 8 year old, he was fascinated throughout, our course took place in April so had an Easter theme, we made Easter eggs, truffles and honeycomb, it was so much fun, the facts about chocolate really engaged my son, their teaching style made it enjoyable and relaxed for the both of us and we took home lots of tasty treat, I was talking about the course for weeks afterwards to friends, family and colleague's...thank you both for a great day, would highly recommend to all age groups!!

Response from The Artisan Chocolate Company:Thanks Stacey for your review and we're really pleased you and your son enjoyed the day, we had fun too! Your son was a delight and credit to you. You both went away with lots of Easter goodies too - I suspect they are all long gone now! :-)
A team building day that was much anticipated and exceeded expectations! Jill and John's relaxed, encouraging teaching style put everyone at ease quickly and they adapted the pace of the course to suit attendees. Preparation was the best of any courses I've attended, well designed to facilitate working with different team members and develop new skills. The handouts provided are easy to follow and will ensure I'll practice the skills I've learned at home. Jill and John's enthusiasm is infectious and they encourage everyone to experiment with flavours and bring out their creative side. I'd recommend not eating too much for breakfast or even the night before so you can indulge in the delicious chocolate tasting treats, and scrumptious lunch! Don't forget to bring a box to take home your goodies! Thanks again to John and Jill, I would recommend the course to family, friends and those who are looking for a team building event with a difference! Annette

Response from The Artisan Chocolate Company:Thank you Annette, your team building event was a joy to run and you have a great team who all enjoyed the day and as you say got stuck into the tasks and activities throughout the day. We loved running the day for your team as it incorporated both our skill sets; training others and food!
If you have a 'Love' of all things chocolate, then this is a must...
The full day course is fantastic and is well set out in spacious and stylish surroundings.
Jill and John's knowledge & flare for chocolate is apparent from the get go, as is their relaxed approach and transfer of skills - which continued to be shared throughout the day.
Before long we were designing and creating our own flavoured chocolates...
Lunch was as tasty as it was entertaining, time to reflect & share the events of the morning.
Followed by filling centres, rolling and coating truffles and cinder toffee.
Thank you both for an excellent experience, your unique teaching style made for a great day.

John & Jill are excellent hosts and their workshop was laid out with a great pace and all of the information and activities were easy to understand and replicate.
The course is great for beginners as well as for those who know their way around a kitchen.
The day flew by and we all couldn't believe how much we actually made at the end!
Thank you both for an awesome day, this will not be the last ganache I make :)

Response from The Artisan Chocolate Company:Hi Chris, thank you for your positive and glowing review. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know you enjoyed the course. We are both pleased to hear about the pace and content of the course, and do let us know what you make when you do your next batch of ganache. Something with a cherry flavouring we guess! Regards John and Jill
