I had a simply wonderful day with Lynda "mosaicing" an outdoor plant pot. Lynda showed me lots of examples to inspire me and then I was set free in her Aladdin's cave of materials. Lynda achieved the perfect balance of instruction and letting me get on with it. She is incredibly knowledgeable and creative but also very practical. I had the most enjoyable time sitting in Lynda's garden studio, overlooking her gorgeous garden with the sun beating down. She was generous with her encouragement and gave really helpful advice. I was well looked after with regular refreshments and a relaxed lunch break sitting in the sun. We even had the Red Arrows flying overhead! I am absolutely delighted with my pot. It reminds of my travels but also of a thoroughly enjoyable day. Thank you Lynda.

Response from Melindas Mosaics:Thank you for your lovely review Leila. It was a great day. I loved your design and colour choices. You must be very proud of what you achieved, it was beautiful.
Had lovely day in Lynda's studio as rain lashed down outside. I went with my sister and my friend's daughter aged 13 and nephew aged 14. We learned basics of doing mosaics, different methods, techniques, about tools and materials. Lynda supplied notes to accompany the teaching. We were given freedom to do whatever basic mosaic we wanted. I did a pot and the others used plywood squares. All of us were pleased (and somewhat surprised!) at the results. Given lots of encouragement, assistance and ideas by Lynda who is very warm and friendly. An enjoyable and productive day was had by all.
Jill Worley - - #17820
Response from Melindas Mosaics:Thank you for your great review Jill. I was so impressed at what you all achieved in one day. You all produced something different and unique and for your first time WOW!! I hope that I have inspired you all to continue doing more mosaics in the future. You were all a delight to teach. Well done. xx
I have just completed a one-day mosaic workshop with Lynda and I have come away with renewed confidence and delight at having covered a large terracotta pot with beautiful mosaic. I was a complete beginner and Lynda guided me every step of the way with expert tips and clear experience. She shows you the wide variety of what is possible to make, using her own designs and creations for inspiration, as well as lots of illustrations of other people's work worldwide. She is very knowledgeable and inspires a can-do attitude but, even better, she imparts her knowledge in a very accessible and generous way. The day was great fun, very relaxed, but at the same time full of invaluable information, so that I came away with a sense of great achievement and wellbeing. I will be definitely booking another course with Lynda and cannot recommend her workshop highly enough.
Emma Braid-Taylor - - #17641
Response from Melindas Mosaics:Emma thank you for such lovely comments. You were a joy to share the day with and to see you grow in confidence from that person who arrived with initial trepidation to someone who left with such joy and enthusiasm and belief in your abilities. You have a natural artistic ability - keep believing it - I do!!. xxx
