About the Course
Make your own trio of eco sterling silver stacking rings at Unit Fifteen a Creative hub for mix media , Jewellery and Glass based at the beautiful historic grade 2 listed building at Ocean studios on the royal William Yard in Devon.
During this 3 hr workshop Clare Elizabeth Kilgour will guide you through step by step all the techniques and processes needed to create your very own set of 3 stacking rings made using eco sterling silver.
You will start with a choice of copper or brass to familiarise yourself with the tools and equipment . Clare will demonstrate a range of basic Jewellery techniques including how to anneal, texture and shape your metal before starting on your Eco sterling silver pieces.
Eco silver is a green alternative to sterling silver. Made using 100% recycled and scrap silver products for example medical equipment, electronics and unwanted jewellery items. Eco silver has the same quality as sterling silver it is just simply more environmentally friendly.
This class is aimed at complete beginners and no previous experience is needed.
