About the Course
Fan birds originated in Russia and Eastern Europe as a traditional decoration hung in the home that catches gentle breezes and so draws the eye too. They are made from a single piece of wood using simple hand tools only. It needs a steady hand and steadier nerves when it comes to opening your birds wings to reveal your creation. The course runs for 3 hours at The Sill, refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon. No previous experience is needed though we will be working with sharp hand tools and carving knives.
