About the Course
What luxury, for the stocking hanging at the end of your bed on Christmas Eve to have been made just for you. Better still, how thoughtful to take the time to make a Christmas stocking for a loved one, and for it to be used every year, for always.
This workshop is designed for those with little or no sewing experience and will see you make a luxury Christmas stocking using a choice of fabrics and accessories.
Your tutor will provide you with lots of examples and ideas and will guide you through the making process, step-by-step. From a stocking made from rich coloured velvet and decorated with ribbons and sequins, to a country style stocking made from classic cottons and finished with a touch or lace – every workshoppers stocking will be unique. There will even be the opportunity to further personalise the stocking by adding the recipients name.
The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm with a pause for lunch partway through the day. Materials, accessories, pins, scissors and tape measures will be provided but if you do have your own scissors that you would prefer to use, please bring them with you.
You will need to bring with you a sewing machine with a couple of bobbins - and be able to sew in a straight(ish) line and fill a bobbin. If you don't have a machine, perhaps you can borrow one from a friend?
Places on this workshop are limited to 6.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. The voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
