What a great way to spend a day - Louise ran a surface decoration workshop which was enjoyable and informative. She freely shared tips and methods and I now feel inspired and equipped to take on some creative projects of my own.

Melanie fox - - #23985
Response from Sugi Ceramics:Thanks Mel for attending with your two lovely boys. It was great to see them really engrossed in what they were doing - it was lovely to have them back for extra time finishing their painting. :)
I had the most enjoyable 'clay day' today at the Sugi Ceramics workshop, Elmswell, hosted by proprietor and most talented artist Louise Gridley. I found the experience to be both therapeutic and relaxing, whilst allowing me to be present and focussed. I created a beautiful name plaque for my home titled, 'Spiritus', which is the Greek word meaning, 'Breath of Life'. It did me the world of good to get out of my comfort zone, and to be in a creative space, something I would encourage anybody to do.
Sugi Ceramics comes highly recommended to people of all ages and abilities.

Went along slightly reluctantly as would not call myself creative by any means, how wrong was I, I had a lovely day with Louise who is very patient! I enjoyed a very therapeutic, chilled and fun session making a house sign and a plate. For those of you have not tried it give it a go! Thank you Lou.

I attended a course in late 2018 and was thoroughly impressed with the course and Louise at Sugi. I made a house number plaque and two plates for family members during the day. Louise was very supportive (I last did some clay work in the 80s when I was at school!) and her enthusiasm shone through. I hope to go again in the future.
Rich - - #19653
