About the Course
we do it in the woods - connecting people, woodlands & creativity. Our ethos is to support and inspire; our workshops are suitable for people who don't think they're arty as well as those who wish to progress their skills or just enjoy working alongside an artist. Each day is hosted by Tara Kelsall and begins with an exploration of the magical ancient Pipley Wood, gathering inspiration and resources to bring back to our marquee base.
In this workshop in simple book making with Joanna Wright you will learn to craft your own hard back book in a day, understand simple book binding and create something of real beauty.
You will learn how to make a cover from paper or cloth for your own unique book which will include a stitched spine and hand folded paper pages. You will also use tools and practise a variety of techniques for making facing papers and bookmarks. This workshop is ideal for anyone who has a 'thing' for stationery, and is also a great way to make a really special and personal gift for someone.
Joanna Wright is a maker, baker, sewer and grower who also runs our wet felting & eco-dyeing course.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
