Make a Marvellous Messenger bag with Emma Redfern 9.30am -4.30pm

A large, fully lined cross body bag with a piped flap closure. Participants will need a metre of both outer fabric (heavy weight, curtain fabric is good, heavy linen) and lining fabric (quilt weight cotton or cotton lawn)

For contrasting piping a fat quarter of a contrasting fabric is needed, otherwise we can use the outer fabric. Matching thread, fabric scissors, pins, ruler and a hand sewing needle also useful. You should also have a zipper foot for your sewing machine in addition to a regular foot. Emma can show you how to change the feet if you are not sure! Emma will provide the interfacing, interlining and piping cord. The strap hardware and magnetic strap will cost an additional £7.50 per person payable directly to Emma on the day.

If you wish to join our database, please use the 'Stay in Touch' icon at the top of each webpage on OUR WEBSITE (link above). Many of our early courses get booked up for Christmas presents.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Welcome drinks : fresh coffee & home made biscuits, a lovely 2 course Aga lunch served in our farmhouse kitchen or outside in the Greystoke Cycle Cafe Tea Garden as soon as it's warm enough. To finish off the day, a freshly made Cream Tea (including Aga-baked scones, cream and jam).

Our days are considered special treats; many come back time and time again and often combine it with a short break to the Lake District.

We have been hosting and organising 'Quirky Workshops' since 2005 from our friendly family run Cycle Cafe Tea Garden on the northern fringes of the Lake District. All our tutors are carefully hand selected experts and professionals and many considered as leading nationally in their field.
