About the Course
Learn how to make a cotton wrap dressing gown with a tie belt during this two day workshop.
You will be provided with a pattern and be shown how to cut the garment correctly and construct it using professional sewing techniques. You will learn about the rules cutting cloth and be introduced constructing seams, hems and inserting sleeves. If time permits you will also add a patch pocket. This two day workshop is aimed at those who already have some sewing skills and would like to learn how to develop them further by constructing a simple garment.
You can turn any of our courses into a short break by staying in our on site accommodation. When you book a residential package you will get discounted accommodation in our stylish boutique hostel located in the centre of Cirencester in the Cotswolds right next door to New Brewery Arts. Our former 19th Century Cotswold stone brewery barrel store has been beautifully transformed into 21st century accommodation, light and well-appointed with a craftsman’s attention to detail. We offer guest accommodation for up to 43 people over two floors in 14 rooms, with a choice of single, bunk, family and double bedrooms, 12 with en-suite facilities. A ground floor disabled-friendly room is also available. The hostel provides a stylish communal dining and relaxation area, self-catering kitchen, laundry facilities and lockers for your bike. As with all our courses and workshops these are led by experienced tutors and as you will be part of a small group there is plenty of time to focus on you

What you will need:
4 metres of cotton fabric at 152 cm /60 “ wide.
You may wish to bring a contrasting fabric for the belt and pocket.
