About the Course

Get an introduction to Haute Couture embroidery in our London weekend workshop. Learn the technique of tambour beading which is widely used in international catwalks.

This two days course in London is designed for students who would like to learn Tambour Beading embroidery. The first day will be to learn the chainstitch on a transparent organza with the hook in the four directions. The second part of the day will be the introduction of the buggles and seed beads.

The second day will comprise to tambour the seed beads and buggles following the design. You will also learn how to stitch the sequins « en riviere » basic stitching for the sequins.

The students will finish the class by learning how to create the small flower with silver smooth purl and Swarovski crystals.

The aim of this tambour beading class is for you to feel comfortable with the hook and how to apply beads and sequins.

Please note that if you would like to pursue this technique and move on to the next level it is recommended to practise tambour beading in between the classes.

I have over 12 years experience of Tambour Beading and work for International Catwalk between London and Paris. I have been teaching over 7 years all over the world including Canada, England, United States and Paris. I want to transmit my knowledge so the art of embroidery stay alive and still inspire us.
