Live Online Class - Beginner Rag Rug Techniques - Including Tools worth £30

Description

Wherever you are in the country, you can now learn how to rag rug with one of the UK's rag rug experts in our new Ragged Life Live Online Workshops. This online workshop includes all the tools and materials to get you going (worth over £26), which we will post out to you before the class. Have fun turning old t-shirts and forgotten favourites into recycled works of art with the age-old skill of rag rugging. In this online class you will learn all the skills you will need to be able to make unique rag rugs, cushions and art to spice up your home. Careful though, it’s addictive! Learn all the basics of British rag rugging in this 2 hour live online workshop. Familiarise yourself with the tools, learn how to prep fabric, and try three British rag rug techniques. To receive your tools in time for the workshop, please book one week in advance. Tools included: Latch hook, Gauge, Spring Tool, Practice Hessian, Fabric This workshop is £50 including tools, which will be sent to you. If you already have the tools then the cost of the workshop is £25. Our rag rug teacher, Elspeth Jackson, is one of the leading rag ruggers in the country. She is one of the expert teachers at the Knitting & Stitching Show, has had a rag rug book, "Rag Rugs, Pillows & More," published on the subject and is a regular in craft magazines - you'll be in very good hands! This class is suitable for all levels but do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

"Totally recommend this course. Great dynamic on zoom. Elspeth is friendly and professional. We learnt lots together; three different techniques and time to practise and ask questions.The pack of goodies we were sent included three specialised tools and fabric samples. "It was amazing to be able to learn a new craft from the comfort of my own home; no need to spend money on travel; no need to leave my small children for longer than necessary. All the tools and materials needed arrived before hand by post and we got rag rugging really quickly during the course. It is very satisfying and I am busy planning my first full rug :-). A tip; I joined by mobile phone which was fine but it was sometimes a wee bit hard to see what was going on. A tablet or laptop would have been a tiny bit easier. X"
