About the Course
Learn a number of ways to add colour to your printmaking. Suitable for absolute beginners and people who have only printed one colour and would like to learn more.
This workshop aims to give you a selection of techniques for making colour prints. Learn how to roll graduated colours on to your block, and to use mono print and collaged techniques to add an extra dimension. You will receive plenty of guidance at every step of the process.
All abilities welcome!
Beth specialises in woodblock and lino printmaking and is a member of Gloucestershire Printmaking Co-op. Beth has been teaching for a number of years and likes to build confidence in her students with encouragement and enthusiasm. She has degrees in Fine Art and Creative Practices and exhibit widely throughout the UK.
You can turn any of our courses into a short break by staying in our on site accommodation. When you book a residential package you will get discounted accommodation in our stylish boutique hostel located in the centre of Cirencester in the Cotswolds right next door to New Brewery Arts. Our former 19th Century Cotswold stone brewery barrel store has been beautifully transformed into 21st century accommodation, light and well-appointed with a craftsman’s attention to detail. We offer guest accommodation for up to 43 people over two floors in 14 rooms, with a choice of single, bunk, family and double bedrooms, 12 with en-suite facilities. A ground floor disabled-friendly room is also available. The hostel provides a stylish communal dining and relaxation area, self-catering kitchen, laundry facilities and lockers for your bike. As with all our courses and workshops these are led by experienced tutors and as you will be part of a small group there is plenty of time to focus on you.

What's included in the price?
Students need to bring a selection of images as a starting point to work from. These can be sketches, photos, other artists images that they like. It might be useful to bring an apron as well. All other tools and materials will be provided!
You will have access to tea, coffee and biscuits in the studio and a £5 voucher to spend in our cafe is included.
