The course begins with drawing and learning how to make a design that is suitable for lino printing. Introducing some contemporary and master printmakers for inspiration, learning a few handy tips and techniques.
The course covers the whole process from transferring a drawing onto lino to the basic principles of cutting and printing using bold lines, cut marks and texture.
Over four evenings you will learn how to cut and print using a professional printmakers press. The finished lino blocks can be taken home and printed again with a simple kit at your kitchen table. There will be a still life to draw from, but please feel free to bring along any inspiration or sketches as a starting point if you wish.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
