With both hands moving in clay, charcoal, natural pigments and ink, discover how to relinquish control upon the quiet meeting ground of the page. Anchored in presence and gentle compassion, the intimacy we experience in drawing from life is an invitation to open and enliven our senses.
Creating art in any form with freedom and non-judgement is inherently health giving. It brings us into the present moment and restoring our sense of belonging. In this unique workshop, live and recorded music lifts our spirits, encourages us to move as we draw from what arises. Through these inky, messy, hearts and hands we arrive at transient pauses, moments of connection and reflection. Meet the paper in these fleeting moments, we explore a dance of gesture and poetry through the models’ pose. Paper, water and feathers will become our intimate allies and we will cultivate a relationship with them that honours the life of these precious gathered resources.
From complete beginner to experienced artist, all are welcome to join. You will receive individual guidance and support. There will be time to unfold and restore, cosy fires, beautiful nature and nourishing food and company’
