Come and learn to spin your own mini-skein of yarn. I will teach you the basics of preparing fleece, how to card, draft, spin and ply yarn. You will have the opportunity to try out a couple of different wheels but you are very welcome to bring your own wheel if you have one. I will explain the different techniques and processes which will equip you to make and take home your first skein of handmade yarn. Workshops are for a maximum of three people as that gives plenty of 1to1 tuition time. The workshop is held in an ancient church opp St Mary’s church where you can park and is within easy reach of Junction 6 of M25 and excellent rail links with London.

Me and my sister did this course and really enjoyed it. Lucy is really knowledgeable and experienced. We learnt so much. It was a beautiful setting and a fabulous day! We would highly recommend it to anyone.
Thank you so much. I had an epic day watching you two pick up spinning so quickly. You were both amazing. Looking forward to catching up with you at some stage.
Just wanted to say a big “thank you” for a really good day. Despite our moaning and groaning we enjoyed the day, very informative and we learnt a lot.
Lucy is a great teacher and quite right when she said it’s just practice now.
Thank you Lucy for your patience and not to mention the yummy cake!
Fantastic experience! Lucy is the most patient teacher and helps you to find your own way to achieve the end result. It took many attempts and a lot of concentration but by the end of the day, I had produced my first skein of wool.
She bought along so many useful resources, books, magazines, different types of fleece as well as samples of knitted hand spun wool.
No hesitation in recommending this course.
