Workshop held on Zoom, for a maximum of 4 people.
A Beginners workshop where you will learn how to make a beautiful and very useful reversible tote bag.
You will be guided through the process of making your bag, as we sew along together. You can interact with the tutor and other participants.
In three hours you will learn how to make handles, sew straight lines and how to make your bag reversible with a square bottom.
Detailed written instructions (with photos) will be emailed to you upon completion of the workshop, so you will have something to refer back to.
Most people who have attended have gone on to make lots more bags for themselves and as gifts, I think you will be addicted!!
Its such fun to make your own bags and you would also be doing your bit for the environment, with handmade bags that will last!

I have over 35 years experience sewing, from learning to sew as a child making dolls clothes, progressing to dressmaking, home furnishings (curtains and blinds), accessories, always to professional standards. I design and make my own patterns, and work as a freelance tutor. I hope you will come along and enjoy my workshops, where I am happy to pass on lots of information and tips.

What you will need
Sewing machine, thread, pins, pen, and having an iron handy would be useful.
Fabric as a kit cut to size is available to purchase for a small extra cost or you can use fabric of your own. You will be given details of the sizes required upon booking, this will need to be cut out before the workshop.
Attended this course with Judi and thoroughly enjoyed it. I particularly liked the small group as this gave us all the individual help when we needed it. I love the finished bag and will definitely be using it and making more as gifts for my friends.

This course is really great all fabrics and patterns done for you Judi is great helped me set up my sewing machine and was there to go through the making of the tote bag step by step with you can thoroughly recommend this course excellent .
Great workshop, really enjoyed making the tote bag. Judi explains everything step by step making it very easy for a newbie sewer. We got the template and instructions to take home, so I will be making a lot more. Fabric is great quality, and the bags are very useful. Don't hesitate If you are considering doing this, its great fun!
Excellent Morning spent in a small friendly group, Judi helped me through the process and I came away with a lovely Tote bag and pattern. I have made another on my own at home and have fabric on order to make even more. I hope to attend further sessions in the future.
