This three day course will give you an introduction into the art of jewellery making using precious and base metals with the help and guidance of an experienced tutor. You will cover skills such as saw piercing, filing, soldering and polishing with the aim to develop confidence in the jewellery studio while creating some beautiful pieces of jewellery. This course is suitable for beginners or as a refresher of basic jewellery making techniques.

The class is very ‘hands on’ - you will learn by making. The tutor will demonstrate various techniques before you do it and will provide constant feedback. This set of classes focusses on chain making - you will learn how to make two types of chain, normal linked chain and Roman and explore the linking sequences and patterns of chainmaille.
