About the Course
Learn how to make a piece of jewellery on this one day course. You can make either a pair of earrings (studs or drops) OR you can make a pendant (you may be able to make both depending on the size you decide on).
You will be shown a range of techniques which will enable you to come up with your own design.
The format of the class will consist of a series of short demonstrations followed by allowing you some time to practice using copper. Once all the techniques have been shown and practised individual guidance will be given, if required, to discuss your design so you can be sure what you would like to make is achievable and what steps you need to follow in order to achieve your design.
At the end of the day you should have had some fun and be going home with a piece of jewellery you can feel proud of.

If making Earrings: Silver sheet 2cm x 3cm, a pair of posts & a pair of silver butterflys. Therefore the maximum size of earrings you could make would be 1cm x 1.5cm
If making a Pendant: Silver sheet 2cm x 3cm & cotton thong (various colours available) with a silver clasp. You can purchase silver chain on the day if you wish which would be a minimum of £6 depending on the length & style.
You could make smaller earrings or pendants and make more than one piece of jewellery out of the silver sheet included. Extra silver components, can be purchased on the day which are fairly inexpensive - for example if you wanted to make a second pendant on a thong or a second pair of stud earrings you would pay £2.50 on the day. Extra silver ear wires for drop earrings are £1 for a pair.

The course was informative, well structured and fun. I achieved something I never though I was capable of and mastered some metalwork processes in only a few hours. The atmosphere was calm and very supportive and it was the best birthday present ever. I wear my earrings with pride and my sisters love the copper pairs I made during our practice session and peter adores the heart pendant keyring.
Well done, Rose, an excellent experience all round x

I had a fantastic day! Rose was an excellent tutor and allowed us to go at our own pace, none of us having made silver jewellery before. The items we made turned out brilliant and I would definitely participate in a course again!

Thank you so much for a really enjoyable workshop. I was amazed I could make anything wearable but I really love my pendant. It was a lovely day. Your informative and encouraging approach - and patience! - helped me feel inspired to have a go. I hope to come along to another workshop soon - and I'll try not to break any blades!
