If you want to learn how to renovate a beautiful piece of furniture handed down through the generations in your family; or feel you’re missing out on potential lucky finds at flea markets or eBay (other selling sites are available!) because they look just a little too worn out to be used, then this is the course for you!
Together, we can take that sad-looking but potentially beautiful item and return it to its former glory. I’ve been doing this almost every day for 40 years and I can tell you - it doesn’t lose its magic and satisfaction. Breathing life back into something that’s been collecting dust in the corner of a room and covered in the daily debris a family collects can be the best feeling in the world.
So come and join me and let’s do this together!
Everything I teach on the courses is aimed at beginners to upholstering, but if you’re a little more advanced, or learn quickly, then I’m happy to give you a little extra attention and we can work at your pace.
We’ll treat you to a terrific tasty lunch and regular tea or coffee. We might even throw in some delicious cake if we really like you.
Our teaching studio is next to the workshop of our busy, thriving upholstery business. And if you’d like to we can give you a quick tour where you can see various stages of restoration projects from stately homes and country manors to boutique hotels; depending on what our team are working on at the time of your visit.
If you’re not local and are making a weekend break of it we can send you a link showing all the best places to stay; eat - and things to do in our stunning Wiltshire location. From the City of Bath to Stonehenge to the gorgeous Bowood House; we can guide you on the best way to fill in your free time.
This course is for four people and includes all upholstery supplies and tools. Plus bring a friend and save £50 each on the cost of your course.
Spaces are limited, allowing me to give you valuable teaching and learning time and get really ‘hands-on’. The downside is, courses get filled quickly and we’d hate you to miss this opportunity to learn skills for a lifetime. And to be honest save you lots of money by renovating your old furniture! So, book your spot early to avoid disappointment.
I look forward to meeting you,
