We learned about types of glass and looked at different pieces that David had made and some CRM works for inspiration.
We practised cutting, then chose our design and glass. We cut, ground and copper foiled the pieces , following David demonstration . Then we soldered our pieces. We were encouraged and supported at each stage and all went home with a finished piece of glass.

David was patient, enthusiastic and extremely informative. He also made the workshop fun and obligely went two hours over time until we finished our pieces.
Can't wait until next workshop as well and truly hooked.

Wonderful introduction to the world of leaded stained glass. David is a natural born teacher with great enthusiasm for his subject. Very approachable and supportive and keeps calm when his students get into a panic (which I did :-)). I am so pleased with the panel he helped me to make; it feels like a real achievement and has given me the confidence to go forward and try it on my own. A word of advice to any prospective students, keep the design simple as there is so much to learn about the techniques involved and enjoy.

Had a brilliant time at the beginners stained glass course with David. He was very good at explaining the diverse processes and kind enough to show me again if I messed up!
Excellent course - pace just perfect. The finished panel was beyond my expectation. Wish it was longer!

Myself and my partner both had a wonderful time attending David's "Stained Glass For Beginners" course. He is a great teacher with plenty of knowledge to share and much patience as he guided us through the basics of working with glass. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to explore the world of stained glass.

This was an excellent course, a fun and different way to spend the weekend. David was a great teacher, he was very patient, very informative and he kept it a lot of fun. We both came away very happy with our stained glass panels and have been feeling inspired to make some more. I would definitely recommend this course.

Really good course. David taught it really well and was very encouraging and helpful. Great to come away with something made during the course - and we were all really pleased with what we'd made. Would like to do another course with David and have already recommended him to friends.
