Description

An exciting and creative day playing with layers!

Kate will show you a number of techniques using fabric paints, sheers, tulle, lutradur, water soluble film and dimensional paints and heat guns to create multi-layered textile pieces. The emphasis will be on experimentation and creating samples using these materials in combination. A sewing machine will be used for some of the work – ideally you will have a little knowledge of free motion stitching. Kate will provide the materials for this.

What to bring:

An apron

Plate/tray for paint mixing

A few brushes

Pencil

Craft knife

Rotary cutter if available

Small cutting mat

Embroidery hoop

Scissors, pins, needles, a selection of cotton sewing threads, sewing machine with embroidery foot

Refunds are not available on this booking. Start dates may be amended on request.

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you to another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us using the contact page on the Micklems Farm website. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.
