About the Course

So, it's mid October, the nights are drawing in and the light is becoming less suitable for printing your own designs in my Cyanotype workshops. However, I would still love you to join me in one of my lantern or lampshade workshops, using a ready-made fabric of your choice.

Perhaps, you would like to make a table lantern for your Christmas table? Maybe you are getting married soon and are thinking about a creative hen party? If so, I would love to help you make some table lanterns for your wedding reception...or even a special lampshade as a present for the happy couple in their new home.

There is no sewing and you don't need any previous skills for my fun, rewarding short workshops that include all materials. It's a lovely sociable couple of hours in which I will show you how to construct either a 20cm drum lampshade or a 10cm table lantern with your chosen fabric.

The lantern will look lovely and atmospheric, filled with LED fairy lights or a battery tealight.
Of course there will also be time to eat cake and drink tea, or a glass of fizz if you are a hen!
Please contact me to arrange a mutually acceptable time and venue for either my fabric lampshade or table lantern workshops. (Minimum 5 people)

I hope to see you soon.

P.S I shall be offering cyanotype workshops again in the spring when the blossom starts to appear, and the birds start to get excited. You may want to think about booking one of these or even buying someone a gift voucher for Christmas - now there's an idea...

''Angela is so generous with her skills and materials. I learnt so much and enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend her workshops to anyone, complete beginner to professional artist." Pam Du Val May 2018

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All materials & 'tools' are included; fabric colour of your choice, negotiable before the workshop.
I will provide tea & coffee / cake or biscuits. Hen party - glass of fizz!

Great fun and great results.
Angela explained the process well and this interesting workshop just flew by. Angela had prepared some photos for us in advance so we managed to do organic and photographic images. We came away with loads!
If you like active crafting and super results you’ll enjoy this workshop.

We were very lucky to have a bright day in September to do our Cyanotype workshop. Angela provided all the materials for our lampshades, we just had to provide the decoration. Everything was well organised and Angela was an excellent teacher - very patient and good fun. Lovely way to pass a morning with friends and you get a lovely, unique lampshade at the end of it.

Thoroughly recommend.
