About the Course

You’ve mastered the basics of hand knitting and you’re ready to learn some more challenging techniques. This is the perfect class for you!

Over the course of 3 weeks, you’ll learn to knit a pair of super cute fingerless mittens.

You’ll also:

-Build upon the knowledge learned in the Beginner’s Class and progress to more challenging knitting skills
-Learn more complex knit structures and techniques for hand knitting, which include lace, cables and aran knitting, fair isle and intarsia
-Learn to work from charts, tension swatches and read patterns
-Learn to work in a round with double pointed and circular needles

At the end of 3 weeks, you’ll be on your way to completing your mittens, have a greater knowledge of more complex stitches and structures and how to apply them. You’ll be able to develop and produce swatches of the stitches you’ve learned, have the confidence to work on more complex projects and experiment with new ideas.

Suitable for: Anyone who has completed a beginner’s class and would like to learn more complex techniques, or for knitters who would like to refresh and improve their existing intermediate knitting skills

Duration of Class: 3 evening lessons are held over three consecutive weeks. Each lesson is 2 hours long.

Fee: £89 for 6 hours of tuition in total

Location: Islington, London (7 minute walk from Angel tube station)
