Description
In the morning we will discuss how sandcasting works, before carving our own waxes. If you wish to use found objects, shells or pebbles work well, or other items (some scrapbooking items work well, or buttons) then please get in touch with us first to check if they are suitable for this method of casting. In the afternoon we will set up the sand ready to do a number of casts of your items. We will be casting with brass, which is included in the price, however, if you'd prefer to cast in silver there is an extra charge for this. This class will be limited to 4 students, to allow plenty of casting time. Some previous experience in jewellery making would be preferred if you would like to take part in the workshop. What's included in the price?
Everything is included in the price but if you want to cast in silver there is an extra charge. Tea, coffee and cake are provided. Please being your own packed lunch or there is a supermarket nearby.
