Keum-boo is an ancient Korean bridal guilding technique. It allows jewellers to cover silver with a thin layer of fine gold. This is an effective way to make unique silver pieces glitter with gold using only a fraction of the gold. This course will cover all the steps of preparing the gold into foil, preparing the pieces to be treated with Keum-boo and the process of applying the gold. You will also look at techniques related to it and what can be done with it. At the end of the course you will go away with a beautiful unique simple ring and pendant.
