About the Course
Jewellery & Silversmithing Beginners evening class in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.
Make a pair of sterling silver earrings, learning how to add pattern and texture to silver, to cut shapes out by hand using the piercing saw, file and finish as well as a bit of wire work.
Suitable for beginners and held over one evening including all materials, tools and plenty of cups of tea and coffee.
Class length - one evening 6:00pm - 9:00pm
This classes is about the basics and will introduce you to the skills needed to start making silver jewellery items.
You will be given the materials and shown step by step how to make an item, you can then try the processes and techniques yourself and use the materials provided to make your item of jewellery.
Level 1 classes are suitable for all abilities and are great for those who want to attend as a one off and make a piece to take home, as well as those who want to develop their skills further.

About your tutor, Victoria has a masters from the Royal College of Art in Goldsmithing, silversmithing, metalwork and jewellery and has spent many years as a studio jeweller and silversmith honing her fine craft skills. She has won a number of awards with her work including the best work in silver Theo Fennell award Royal College of Art 2010.
